We are delighted to announce that we have renewed our Electric Eels 100 Club membership for the 2024-25 season.
Hull & East Yorkshire Powerchair Football Club is the region’s first & only powerchair football club. Formerly known as East Riding Electric Eels the club was formed in 2012 following two successful taster sessions. Since then, the club has grown significantly within players who attend the club.
They have a wide range of players who play at various levels from the National League to Regional League to those who just come for social activity. Its main aim is to allow physically disabled people to play a fast-paced team game, something that most of the members have never been able to do. Most of the members are people that can’t physically play sports like wheelchair basketball and struggle to find a team sport they can take part in independently.

Marketing & Communications Officer at Hull & East Yorkshire PFC, Kai Gill said: “We’re delighted to see Barek Lift Trucks Ltd continue their 100 club membership. Over the past year, we’ve worked closely with Nick to understand their business and come up with different ways we can help promote their brand. As a highly-rated and respectable company in the local area, we’re pleased to have their backing and we look forward to being able to host their team at future 100 club events, match-days and present their brand on our website.”
Barek Lift Trucks Director Nick Leek said, “We are proud to be part of the 100 Club membership for the Electric Eels Powerchair Football Club. Supporting the team over the last year has been a thoroughly enjoyable experience, especially attending one of their training sessions. It was fantastic to witness the teamwork, camaraderie, and impressive skills on display—not to mention the competitive tackling! We’re eagerly looking forward to seeing everyone in action soon and wish the team the best of luck for the upcoming season. Go Eels!!!”
