Steven Covey once wrote, “Seek first to understand, then to be understood”. We feel that really listening to what our customers want is where we add the most value to our customers’ businesses.

Having witnessed the strong performance of our TCM forklifts, Abbey Logistics Group (ALG) in Hull invited us to provide a solution to their operational challenges….. and we certainly love a challenge.

Structured site assessments were scheduled to include meetings with key employees right throughout the production process. We took the time to listen, learn and acknowledged the various operational, performance and health and safety challenges which presented themselves on a daily basis.

After due process and careful consideration we decided upon the TCM 1.8T Diesel Forklift with optional half cab plus additional OEM safety, robust and protection packages.

The large busy yard environment with high volume of HGV movements called for additional high powered LED front and rear work lights together with automatic blue spot safety lights providing additional day and night time visibility for the forklift – improving site safety.

The nature of the products being handled and various cleaning activities on site required extra attention to the forklifts’ specification to include additional safety and protection to the operator and various key components on the forklift – whilst still maintaining operator productivity and performance.

The robust, safety and protection packages offered by TCM included heavy duty side protection covers for the overhead guard, tilt cylinder covers, together with a bespoke cab, front and rear glazed screens and PVC roll up sides – which still enables easy access for the operator.

These various additional features amongst the already high specification offered as standard on these forklifts provided ALG with the tailored solutions they required. We delivered ahead of schedule a new truck in high visibility yellow colour scheme together with personalised Corporate Logo stickers.
