Key Responsibilities:

  • Parts Management: Accurately identify, source, and order forklift parts and accessories to meet customer needs.
  • Stock Control: Maintain and organise parts stocks, ensuring stock levels are sufficient and parts are properly cataloged.
  • Customer Service: Provide expert assistance to customers in person, over the phone, and via email, helping them identify and obtain the correct parts for their equipment.
  • Engineering Support: Assist the Engineering team by providing detailed information on parts availability, pricing, and lead times.
  • Technical Expertise: Stay up-to-date with the latest forklift models and parts, offering informed recommendations and troubleshooting assistance.
  • Order Processing: Manage and process orders with multiple manufacturers, ensuring timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Supplier Relations: Establish and maintain strong relationships with parts suppliers to negotiate pricing, delivery times, and availability.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Experience working in a parts department, preferably in the forklift or material handling industry.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of forklift components, parts catalogs, and stock management systems.
  • Customer Service Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on providing outstanding customer service.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong organisational skills and attention to detail in managing parts and orders.
  • Computer Proficiency: Experience with inventory management software and basic office applications (e.g., Microsoft Office).
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve customer issues efficiently.
