As you are aware, the situation that we currently face with the COVID-19 public health crisis is unprecedented. Over the last few weeks, we have seen this crisis escalate and each day the Government have introduced measures which will help combat the containment and spread of the virus, protect the NHS and ultimately save lives, but these measures will undoubtedly have a major impact on the economy as a whole and our respective businesses.

Firstly and most importantly the health, safety and well-being of our employees, as well as our customers, is our top priority. Advice from the Government regarding which businesses should continue to trade changes from day to day and we are following these guidelines as and when they are released.

What have we done:

Following the government guidelines and social distancing policies we have:

• Adapted our internal operating environment to ensure maximum social distancing and hygiene.
• Equipped our personnel with additional PPE.
• Equipped and instructed those who can work from home to do so.
• As a Member of the Fork Lift Truck Association (FLTA), we are regularly reviewing their guidelines on new best practice and introducing these into our business.

Please be assured that we are ready, willing and able to provide support as required in conjunction with our policies and the government guidelines accordingly.

What do our Industry Bodies state:

The British Industrial Truck Association (BITA) and the FLTA have sought clarity from the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and it has been the clear opinion of all that whilst equipment remains in service that scheduled maintenance and, where relevant, statutory Thorough Examinations should be considered “Essential Ongoing Activity” that should not be obstructed or prevented in any way. We will continue to contact you to arrange this work as required and in accordance with our schedule.
